Welcome to the Manistique Area in Michigans beautiful Upper Peninsula!
Whether you are a nature lover snowmobiler, cross country skier, boater, hunter, fisherman, or just a vacationer looking for a relaxing place to spend some time, Manistique is for you!
We consider this area as the four season vacation headquarters because of our great location along Lake Michigans northern shore and our enjoyable climate. Summer temperatures average 76 degrees! Perfect for enjoying outdoor activities such as sailing, hiking, diving, sightseeing, camping and fishing. Winter provides snowmobilers, sled dog mushers, Nordic and alpine skiers, and other winter outdoor enthusiasts with over 71 inches of fresh snow and a cool, yet comfortable average temperature of 26 degrees.
"The Big Spring" is the largest in Michigan! Forty feet deep and over 10,000 gallons of clear spring water gush per minute from the fissures in the underlying limestone. |
